Stephanie April (Lundin) Wellik Obituary

Stephanie April (Lundin) Wellik, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend, passed away on April 7th, 2026, at the age of 56. Born to Gary A. and Pamela G. (Weerts) Lundin, Stephanie was the cherished middle sister to Jennifer (1967) and Jessica (1976).

Stephanie’s early years were spent in Le Center, Minnesota. She attended Bethel Baptist Preschool in Mankato, Minnesota, kindergarten in St. Peter, Minnesota, and graduated from high school in Le Center, Minnesota. She pursued her passion for childhood development, earning a BA in the field in 2010. Her career spanned over 20 years at the Mayo Clinic, where she dedicated most of her time to the Cochlear Implant Department. Later, she followed her heart into early childhood development and concluded her career supporting the family.

On August 24, 1991, Stephanie married Jarrod Wellik, and together they built a beautiful life. They resided in Stewartville until 2011 before relocating to Iowa. Stephanie was a devoted mother to her children, Travis (1993) and Madeline (1996).

Stephanie is survived by her husband Jarrod, her children Travis (Josie) and Madeline, her father Gary Lundin, Siblings Jennie (Jerry) Weiland, Jessica Lundin (Brandon Burmeister), her in-laws Dean and Janice Wellik, Jodi (Mark) Rother, and numerous nieces and nephews, including Kimberly (Brandt) DeKruif, Tony Weiland, Rebecca (Tyler) Zenk, Alden Burmeister, Arlo Burmeister, Amanda (Nathan) Lightfoot, and Ashley Hughes.

She is preceded in death by many cherished friends and family who have passed on, including Pamela Lundin, Gerald & Ella (Covey) Weerts, Pearl (Miller) Lundin/Fisher/Hendershot, and grandfathers not met or gone before she remembered; too many to count but in our hearts.

Stephanie’s life was filled with joy and laughter. She loved spending time outdoors by the water, enjoying campfires, water skiing, playing golf, and feeding the fish. Above all, she cherished moments with her family and friends. Her life motto, “Live, Laugh, Love,” perfectly encapsulated her spirit. Stephanie will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those she touched.
