Beverly C. Nagel

Beverly C. Nagel, 95, a longtime Stewartville,MN resident passed away on Wednesday (October 22, 2025) at the Stewartville Care Center, where she had resided for the past 10 months.

Beverly C. Nagel was born in Leroy, Mn on October 15, 1930 to Franklyn and Edna (Nauman) Speer.  On November 12, 1948, Beverly was married to Wayne A. Nagel in Greenleafton, Mn.  They lived in Rochester before moving to Stewartville where they raised their family and made their home for many years. Bev was a homemaker and later worked in retail sales, selling women’s clothing  at Arnolds and My Size both in Rochester. Wayne was employed at IBM in Rochester for 32 years. Mr. Nagel died January  5,  2002. Bev was a long time member of Zion Lutheran Church in Stewartville where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was also one of the first members of Sarah Circle and was proud that this circle is still ongoing today.  She was a member of the Stewartville Lioness Club, a Brownie Scout and Cub Scout leader. After retirement Bev and Wayne wintered in Lake Havasu, Az for many years. Her hobbies included reading, camping and fishing, trips to the casino, and traveling.  Her special joy were her five grandsons and later their wives and her great grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl (Robert) Fauver and a son, David, both of Stewartville and five grandsons, Craig Nagel, Ryan Nagel (Mary), Matthew Fauver (Jenwynn), Nathan Nagel (Carrie) and Michael Fauver (Erin).  Other survivors include ten great grandchildren, Caden Nagel, Carsen Nagel, Ethan Nagel, Owen Nagel, Sephira Fauver, Datura Fauver, Ondine Fauver, Huxley Fauver, Fisher Nagel, Jace Nagel, Talan Fauver and Cambryn Fauver; a brother Stan Speer of Fountain,MN; sister-in-law - Matilda(Tillie) Speer of Leroy,MN and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne and 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday(October 27, 2025) at Zion Lutheran Church in Stewartville with Rev. Tim Bowman officiating. A time of visitation for family and friends will take place 1 hr. prior to the service at the church on Monday morning. Burial and a committal service will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester. Memorials may be made to Zion Food Ministry or Stewartville Care Center Activities Department.
