Cynthia "Cindy" Laber Roberts

Cynthia "Cindy" Laber Roberts died on Thursday (December 1, 2022) of natural causes in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Cynthia Lou Laber was born on Nov. 26, 1959 in St. Paul to Jack and Lee Laber. She grew up in St. Paul and graduated from Highland Park High School in 1977. Following high school she attended the University of Minnesota and studied social work. In 1978 she moved to Stewartville with her family. She met David Ewald Jr. shortly after and they were married on June 12, 1980. They made their home in rural Sargeant. They had one son, Nathan Ewald on Jan. 1, 1983. They were later divorced. She moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1985. She met David Roberts and they were married on Oct. 28, 1989. They had two children, a daughter, Hannah, born May 21, 1990 and a son, Ian, born June 7, 1991.Cindy had many hobbies. Her passion was reading. She also liked to paint, sew, play cards, board games, campfires and outdoor games. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her pets.

She is survived by her husband, David Roberts of Pahrump, Nevada; two sons and one daughter, Nathan Ewald (Jamie Stevens) of Maplewood, Missouri, Hannah Roberts of St. Louis, Missouri, and Ian Roberts of Pahrump, Nevada; four grandchildren; her mother, Lee Laber of Stewartville; her brother, Rick (Patricia) Laber of Stewartville; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Laber of Rochester; and many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her father, Jack Laber; and two brothers, Timothy Laber and John Laber.
