Elaine M. Brakke

Elaine Brakke, 89 1/2 years old, died in Arizona on June 29, 2019. Elaine was born December 21, 1929, in rural Hayfield, daughter of Russell and Amanda  (Lee) Cooper. Elaine graduated from Hayfield High School 1947. Elaine married Adrian Brakke on June 10, 1950. Elaine worked on their farm, at Dayton's, St. Mary's Hospital, and the Olmsted County Courthouse. When Adrian's health changed, they moved to Sun City, Arizona in 1979 and enjoyed ten golden years together until Adrian passed away in 1989.

Elaine is survived by her three children: Pamela, Mark (Becky), and Holly; two granddaughters: Angela (Markie) Kuhlmann and Heather (Brent) Roller; two great-granddaughters: Elaina and Eloise Roller; brother-in-law Ardean Stevens; and nephews and nieces. Preceding her in death were her parents, brother- Donald Cooper, and sister -Frances Stevens. Memorial service July 8th, the same date Adrian passed away 30 years ago. Interment at East St. Olaf Lutheran Church Cemetery.
