Michael S. Lowrie, 50, of Rochester,MN died on Friday (January 24, 2025) from complications of an illness with heart disease at Mayo Clinic Rochester – St. Marys Campus.
Michael Sean Lowrie was born on August 8, 1974 in Rochester,MN to Stephen and Janie(Clark) Lowrie. He grew up in rural Chatfield,MN and Stewartville, MN where he attended school and graduated from Stewartville HS in 1993. He moved to Rocheter in 1995 where he had continued to make his home. He was employed for the past 4 years at Hy-Vee on 37th St. in Rochester.
He was a past member of the Marion Road Christian Church and Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wykoff,MN. He enjoyed hiking, classic rock, watching videos and road trips. Mike enjoyed nature and had a way with animals. He loved time spent with his family.
Michael is survived by his mother – Janie Lowrie of Rochester and his brother – Brian(Crystal) Lowrie of St. Charles,MN; step--sister - Lisa Sepulveda of California; 2 uncles – Walter(Judy) Clark and John(Mary) Lowrie of Mankato,MN; 3 Aunts - Ann Olson of Omaha,NE, Thelma(Arlen) Henke of Texas and Jean(Don) Goldsmith of MIltona,MN and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father – Stephen, his Aunt – Sue Stortz and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A memorial service for Michael will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday (February 8, 2025) at Marion Road Christian Church with Rev. Joshua Jensen and Rev. Monte French offiiciating. A time of visitation for family and friends will take place 1 hr. prior to the service at Marion Road Church/ 4051 50th Ave SE/ 55904 Rochester, MN.
