Shirley Ann Christenson

Shirley Ann Christenson, 85, of Kasson, MN died at home, surrounded by loved ones, on Friday, November 7, 2025 of heart failure.

She was born to Dorothy (Simpson) Divine and Fred Divine, Jr. on July 9th 1940 in Torkio, MO. Shirley married James Christenson of Rochester, MN and they had four children. 

Shirley is survived by her children: David (Laura) of Loveland, CO, Laura (Tim) Ferguson of Rochester, MN, Kathleen Steinkamp of Kasson, Cindy (John) Rendler of Mantorville, MN, her brother Robert (Kay) Divine of Lamar, MO.  Seven Grandchildren: Taylor Rendler, Ryan Rendler, Andrea (Riley) Voll, Nick (Tami ) Christenson, Mike (Joni) Christenson, Katie (Shane) Alton, Jason Christenson, Two step grandchildren:  Cherie Patterson, Brooke Patterson, Six great grandchildren: Marcello, Mateo, Henry, James, Zella, Judha.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband James Christenson, her parents, Dorothy Capalungos and Fred Divine, Jr, her brother Joseph Simpson, son-in-law Keith Steinkamp, step mother Nedra Divine, and Aunt Virginia Jensen.

A time of visitation will take place on Saturday, November15, 2025 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Griffin-Gray Funeral Home located 201 3rd Ave NW, Stewartville, MN 55976.  A committal service will take place immediately after the visitation at St. Bernards Catholic Cemetery in Stewartville, MN.
