A Celebration of Life for Tom will take place on on Saturday( May 10, 2025) from 1 to 4 PM at his wife Jennie's home / 101 Railway Ave NE / Sargeant, MN 55973. Thomas “Tom” Winsky, 61, of Sargeant, MN died on Monday (November 18, 2024) surrounded by his loving family and friends at his home, following a 2 yr. battle with pancreatic cancer.
Thomas Allen Winsky was born May 8, 1963 in La Crosse, WI to Marvin and Lois (Armitage) Winsky. He moved with his family as a young boy to rural Sargeant where he attended Stewartville schools and graduated from Hayfield in 1981. He was employed as an over the road semi driver. Thomas was married in May of 1988 in Hayfield to Catherine Hemann. Following their marriage they lived in the Austin area for a number of years and were later divorced. Tom was employed for many years as a truck driver both in commercial hauling and construction. He was married on June 15, 2013 in rural Rose Creek, MN to Jennifer (Boley) Neville. The couple moved to rural Sargeant where they lived until moving into Sargeant. In 2020, Tom was employed with the Rochester School District and then Central Valley Services in Hayfield. He was currently employed at Firestone Tire in Rochester. Tom also helped Jennifer with her cleaning business to stay active, Jennie’s Helping Hands, a residential and commercial cleaning company.
Tom attended Sunday services at Evanger Lutheran Church in rural Sargeant and was serving his first term as Councilman on the Sargeant City Council. He liked hunting, fishing, camping and 4 -wheeling. He recently enjoyed going on long rides with Jennie in a friend’s Slingshot. Tom seldom missed the Big Iron Classic at the Kasson Fairgrounds or the Renaissance Festival in Shakopee. Tom also made it to many stock car races this summer in Lansing, MN. He enjoyed time spent with his many friends and neighbors and loved time spent with his grandkids.

Tom is survived by his wife - Jennie; 1 daughter and 1 son -Vanessa Winsky and Dustin Winsky both of Austin, MN; stepdaughter – Manda Nicolai (Jacob Schandorff) of Sargeant, MN and step-son – Dakotah Neville(Brooklynn Krates) of Austin, MN; grandchildren – Kadince, Aubree, Mea, Bently, Brooklyn, Sofia, Braxton, Finnley and Delilah; Mother-in-law – Janice Marquardt of Austin, MN; 2 sisters – Kathy Winsky of Rochester and Terri (Stacy) Truax of Austin, MN and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. 2 Brother-in-laws- Jason (Alaina Gwin) Boley of Clarissa, MN, Jon (Nikki Peterson) Boley of Austin, MN, 1 Sister-in-law- Jessica (Larry) Andrist of Sargeant, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother – Pat Winsky and 2 father-in-laws – David Boley and Bruce Marquardt.
